Wednesday's Wishlist

MY FIRST ENTIRE DAY OFF IN AAAAAAGGGGGGEEEESSSS ZZOOOMMMYYGGGOOOSSHHH WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO?!!!

....Well actually the day is almost over so I've done as many things as possible...which wasn't much, just food shopping and a gym sesh, so I thought I'd do a quick post to make myself feel better...and because I've missed blogging a lot recently

This post is pretty much just all the stuff I want but am trying to stop myself from buying because I've already bought a whole bunch of stuff (which will be in an upcoming haul post)

So, here we go

1. Avenger Toe Cap Chunky Boots - £42 Topshop

They are called Avenger. That is the only reason I wanted them initially..and then I realised they're actually really nice...I would prefer if it were "Avengers" but whatever, that means that they have automatically reached badass status....I don't know why I haven't bought them already because I've wanted them for months....I'm gonna buy them #sorrynotsorry

2. Bikinis - Asos
River Island @ Asos £28 for set

Contrast longline strappy bikini £17 for set

Asos multi strap lattice triangle bikini £14 for set

which brings me to my next thing...

3. A holiday

Just put me on a nice clean beach with an endless supply of food. Thanks

4. Mistia Tropical Print Crossover Playsuit £24.99- Missguided

I don't usually experiment a lot with more feminine styles so this would make a nice change

5. Si by Giorgio Armani - £35-£54 Boots, Debenhams, The Perfume Shop

My friend made me smell this once, it smells DIVINE!!

6. Maximuscle Promax Lean Definition Protein Powder - £25.65 Amazon

I've been on a bit of a health kick recently after eating everything in sight for 2 week straight and feeling horrid...did quite a bit of research and this seems like a good one to start with, I'm actually ordering this so I'll let you know how it goes

7. Ipad Mini With Retina Display, 32gb -  £399 Very, or £249 for 16gb- John Lewis

I wanted one last year...I still want one.

8. Loki Charms T-Shirt £10.99 + £1.99 delivery- Ebay

...because, Loki.

There are a few more on my list which I shall update soon, but for now I'm off to bed because I need to be up at 6am

Monday Inspiration: Love Yourself

Not much to say on this. Sometimes you go through things that make you realise  this more than you ever could. I need to love myself more than anyone ever could, or will.....Don't rely on others to validate you, validate yourself, love yourself, trust yourself, and believe in yourself, because once you put that responsibility on others, you're placing your happiness in their hands too. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't love, or be loved, just remember that you come first, and you are beautiful, amazing, and powerful. You are you, and no-one else will ever be you.

Review: L'Oreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara

Hey my lovelies! Gahh I was so tired after work so planned on spending the rest of the day in bed but then I realised I'm going to have to get out of bed to get food, so I may as well do something else useful whilst I'm up.
So....as you may or may not know I am a slight hoarder of mascaras...I think it's my favourite beauty product alongside lip pencils possibly...I just love anything that enhances eyes, or lashes, or eye colour

Normally I'll buy about 2 or 3 new mascaras a month, but I've been good recently and only buy one if I need it (or if it looks super cool)

L'Oreal's Telescopic used to be my all time favourite mascara until it ran out and became super expensive so I played around with cheaper alternatives..and then Boots had their 3 for 2 offer so I came crawling back and thought that to make up for abandoning this mascara for so long, I'll do a quick review. This one is slightly different as it promises "cleanly defined, well separated lashes" as well as length.

Firstly, pictures: (Btw please excuse the spots all over my face...I'm putting that down to not enough sleep/not enough water....oh yes, and the bucket loads of chocolate I've been eating.)

Before mascara:

After 1 coat:

After 3 coats:

After as many coats as I felt like doing + bottom lashes coated:

Pros: Consistency is not dry like a lot of mascaras I've used
       : Non- clumping
       : Nice design
: Doesn't flake off like you get with a lot of mascaras too....you know when it goes all "bitty"
       : Actually lengthens and defines

Cons: Too expensive (for me anyway)

So in conclusion, I love this mascara, it's deffo great for girlies (or guylies) with short lashes

Check it out in either Superdrug or Boots for £10.99...They are both doing their 3 for 2 promo on cosmetics so it's worth it if you're wanting to top up your beauty supplies

Let me know how you find it :-)

Happy Autism Awareness Day!

This isn't going to be a long post....for real this time, not like when I say it won't be and then 50 paragraphs later I realise I may have waffled on a tad....nope.

Just wanted to say Happy Autism Awareness Day....It's nice to see that more light is being shined on this topic rather than it be swept under the rug....this is something that affects millions of people worldwide, my twin brother being one of them, and something that many people do not know much about...so if you can do something to support this cause then do.

If you're unsure of that autism is, check out this site http://www.autism.org.uk/

Nicole For Missguided

It's been over a month. I'm sorry. Lettuce just leaf it at that.

So...now I've got one of my never ending puns out of the way..I don't even know why I used that pun, this post has nothing to do with food but whateverrrrr.....Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all happy and blessed, I've seen a lot of advertising for Nicole Scherzinger's collection for Missguided (which is quickly becoming my new favourite clothing sites) so thought may as well do a post on it.

If I'm completely honest I was slightly disappointed at the lack of variation of styles and colours BUT, they did say that more styles will be added so I think this is just the starting line up. That said, wooooaaahh, some schmexy stuff is going on here....Here are a couple of my faves.

Faux leather leggings- £35

Cross back bodycon dress £30

Shift dress with fishnet panel £35

Panelled blue crop top and matching skirt £25 each

Long sleeve fishnet crop top £20

Plunge neck cutout midi dress £45

As I said, there will be more lines coming out but for now enjoy the array of faux leather, fishnet, and general hotness that is this collection

Had My Appendix Out, Fun Times!

Hey guys/girls, firstly I'd like to apologise for my lack of posts, I've been crazy busy with work and classes for the past couple of months so I haven't really had energy to do any blogging which is a shame but, I like sleep so yeh...I shall be making some lifestyle changes so hopefully by the grace of God I will have more time and energy to spare on things which make me happy such as eating...and of course blogging :-)

Secondly...I had my appendix taken out yaaaayy!!! No not yay because that means I can't go to the gym for a month....but yaayy because I am alive and well, thank God! It all started a couple of days ago, I think, I had really bad pains all over my stomach, it felt like burning, or as if something toxic had leaked inside and was flowing around my system (I used that explanation with the nurse, she seemed slightly confused but got it)......but yeh, it hurt A LOT....and being the person I am, I fobbed it off as too much stomach acid or something like that...then the next day I had a HORRID migraine and my stomach hurt so bad but I just assumed I was tired and had a nap..woke up on day 3 (barely slept anyway because of the stomach pains keeping me awake), the migraine was gone but the pains were still there...I'm used to having some sort of acid related stomach ache, hence me ignoring it for so long..but I planned on seeing my GP the next day so was relatively calm about it. Spent most of the day in bed, and then went for dinner with my work friends, still in pain but trying not to be a Buzz-Killington...on the way home I couldn't  take it, the pain was too much to even walk so I called my brother and asked him if it would be too dramatic to call an ambulance...he said no, so I did.... and a couple of hours later, I was told I'd need to be operated on. To cut an already long story short, they operated on me the next day and now I'm in bed watching crappy movies.

Sorry, kinda waffled there as per usual...but the main reason I'm posting this is just to say that you shouldn't take your health for granted. If you feel something isn't quite right with yourself health-wise then consult your doctor or get it checked. It's much better to be safe than sorry.

On that note..I'm going to do something useful and by that I mean watch more films

...because I can't have a long post without a cute pic at the end :-)
